Seattle International Beer Festival

The Seattle International Beer Festival was the Fourth of July weekend at the Seattle Center in the shadow of the Space Needle.  I managed to go on both the first and third days.  Day one was extremely crowded and it was hard to find seating.  What a great selection of beers though!  Over 150 beers from 15 countries.  Here’s what I remember that I tried:  New Belgium-Elysian’s The Trip #1, Stone’s Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale,  Trade … Read entire article »

This weekend’s beer samples

I bought both of these beers last weekend, but didn’t get around to them until this week. Friday night was the Maredsous Triple from Belgium. It’s sour – even for a triple, but very good. I wouldn’t drink more than one at a time, but would definitely try again. A sunny walk around Greenlake was followed by dinner at Ray’s. With dinner I ordered Hale’s Cream Ale.
